I’ve been working on another “I Imagine…” book focused on “A Land of Purity” - that’s Pakistan and highlighting the unusual wildlife there while opening minds to the common emotional struggles the children face.

♥ Just Imagine ~ Let’s Spread a Little Happiness ♥

The Power of Appreciation … an old story I like to remember. Manifesting something frivolous turned my day around, reminded me of my power, and gave me a prized memory. I was having one of “those” days. The kind that seem to spin around and go anywhere but up. At home with my two daughters (then ages 1 and 4), I was having problems keeping a positive attitude, it seemed as soon as I began feeling up, one of the girls would start to cry or complain and we all would slowly spiral down again. Even after I decided to get us out of the house I found myself driving around town changing my mind about whether we were going to the park, or a friends, or the store. Finally, I settled on the zoo. Forgetting our woes and just having some fun seemed like a good answer to the day’s negative trend. As we arrived I decided to manifest something frivolous and fun just to help change our mood. I thought of the tigers who were always sacked out lazily on the top of the hill where we could barely see them. I thought about how much I would appreciate them walking around where we could see and enjoy their natural beauty and power. I felt a deep sense of gratitude and could feel my heart opening up to them. As we approached their cage I noticed that they were laying in their usual spot, sleeping in the dappled sunshine on the hill. I dismissed it and we continued to walk around our normal route which looped to the far end of the zoo. On our way back by, just minutes before the zoo was due to close, I noticed the large female tiger was up walking around. I smiled. How cool! She walked right up in front of us and began parading back and forth along a 15 foot section of fence that was merely 4 feet from where we stood. I was filled with appreciation and awe. I then imagined how wonderful it would be if she were to vocalize, again feeling gratitude and appreciation in advance. Well, she stopped right in front of me, looked in my eyes and began gently roaring! It was perhaps the most magical moment of my life. A testament not only to her power and beauty, but my own as well. What a great day!
